I ran across this photo while browsing for Audi TT RS photos to post on the Twitters and think that it would make for a nice conversational piece. Talk amongst yourselves.

That's why when I get a car I'm going to wrap it or something. Being boring and monotonous is boring and monotonous.

I think I was fortunate to not go down the boring and monotonous route with my Sprint Blue S5.

I think it looks fine. Not my first choice of color, but it's also not my car.

The only non-boring color that's for sure.

Based on the prices for used ones, the TT RS unfortunately is already plenty "unique". It doesn't need a look-at-me paint job.

I guess it depends on the market as there are have been a glut of TT RS on the used market here in the Portland area. Part of it is because of pricing and people want to move on to something like an RS 5.

Cheapest I see on AutoTrader is 49k. I'd like to see them at 29k.

It's quite a bit faster than the RS5, so unless you need the (little bit of) extra space, I don't know why there'd be a mass exodus...the 5 is a looker but I can't believe it's such a tank (it should be less than the also-huge 4, not more).

I think that it's an RS and made in "limited" quantities has (artificially?) kept prices up. Also, since it was only sold with a manual, the TT RS probably won't be selling like hotcakes.

I've known several people who needed a slightly more usable, yet somewhat fun, DD and they went from the TT RS to the RS 5. Weight is something that the A5 family will have to be shed and rumors are already saying that it could be in the area of 100kg for the B9. That's a start, but it's also a relatively large car.

Retinas seared, mission accomplished.

Yeah I think they only gave us ~1000 TT RSs across two model years. Drives me nuts because I couldn't care less about uniqueness, rareness, or novelty, but I do want the hardware. Here's hoping everybody dumps them for RS5/RS4 and prices go through the floor...

My worry about the weight reduction is it will be throwing a few pricy aluminum/carbon parts on the same huge car, leaving it slightly-less-heavy, but also downgrading engines even further in size. I don't want to have to choose between small engine / medium-big car, and medium engine / huge car...I'd love the supercharged 3.0T in something the size/weight of the B5 S4 (which still wasn't a light car, just less of a pig).
